Responsibilities & Requirements
The Ultrasound Tech II EWC Day performs advanced diagnostic ultrasound examinations to support accurate diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality imaging. This role collaborates with physicians and care teams, assists in complex procedures, and upholds regulatory and accreditation standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field from an accredited programMinimum of 1 year experience as a registered ultrasound technologistCertification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography (ARRT(S)); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained prior to independent patient care)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field Experience in specialized areas such as vascular, obstetric, or cardiac sonography Additional certifications such as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
