Responsibilities & Requirements

Provides practice leadership, supervision, scheduling and daily management of the practice. Ensures a smooth and efficient operation of the practice to include, but not limited to, hiring and training staff, working with the physicians on a daily basis, monitoring and controlling costs, assuring accurate and timely charge capture and edit/error work queue resolution, and overseeing staff productivity. Assists in achieving the goals and objectives outlined in the practice Site Specific Action Plan. Oversees one or two physicians with operating revenue of up to $400k.

The Practice Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Supervises and responsible for onsite business including front desk procedures, patient billing, collections, and insurance.
  • Maintains proper personnel conduct and confidentiality of medical records.
  • Oversees office budget.
  • Coordinate activities between physician, medical personnel.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Business Management or related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • One - two years previous supervisory experience in a Healthcare setting required.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical office operations.
  • Knowledge of billing systems.
  • Ability to interpret and supervise business policies of practice.
  • Special ability to communicate well with staff, physician(s), and general public.
