Responsibilities & Requirements

In this leadership role, the IT Manager applies the Kettering Health Information Systems Framework and management system to guide and support the development of character and competencies for the benefit of the individual and the team. The IT Manager is the immediate point of contact for escalations and oversees the development of organization structure, processes, policies, and standards. The IT Manager provides on-call support and performs other duties as assigned.

Beyond functional oversight, this role helps maintain vendor partnerships that support Kettering Health’s digital front door, ensuring strong stewardship and value realization. This leadership role reports to the Director of Digital Consumer Experience.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science or in a related field, preferred
  •  7+ years of relevant application systems/management experience
  • 3 years of experience supporting and managing the delivery of IT services
  • Must have one of the applicable IS Foundational Practice certifications within 1 year of hire:
  • Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Leadership (CAL)
  • PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
  • PMI-Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • ITIL Foundations
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and processes
  •  Demonstrated experience in budgeting, planning, contracting, and negotiation
  • Vendor management experience
  • Epic Cadence and MyChart experience preferred
  • 3+ years of healthcare leadership or project management experience required
  • Familiarity with leading Consumer Experience performance preferred
  • Patient Access experience is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support of character and competence for the benefit of the individual and the team
  • Work with other leaders and the delivery team on training needs
  • Research and provide new resources that address team needs and help them achieve high performance
  • Address impediments when escalated to leadership.
  • Immediate point of contact.
  • Escalate to executive leadership organizational changes that need to be addressed to ensure bottlenecks to delivering value are removed completely not simply moved to another department
  • Receive feedback, provide updates on support activities, and prioritize the resolution of open incidents and problems
  • Complete performance reviews, recruit and hire team members, and provide corrective coaching as needed
  • Oversee organizational structure, processes, policies, and standards
  • Create and oversee budget, payroll, and vendor management activities for assigned areas
  • Apply the KHN IS Framework management system to the execution of this role
  • Serve on-call duties as assigned
 
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Cadence and MyChart experience preferred
