Responsibilities & Requirements

JOB SUMMARY
 
The non-certified EEG Technician will focus on providing exceptional patient care including interactions with patients, families, ancillary staff, physicians’ offices, physicians, and residents. The non-certified EEG Technician will perform clinical and ambulatory EEG’s, evoked potentials, and clinical monitoring of EMU and continuous EEG patients, clerical duties and other duties as assigned.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Minimum Education
  • High School diploma required.
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Must have EEG Training experience or actively enrolled in Electro-Neuro diagnostic program.
 
Required Skills

  • Must have EEG Training experience or actively enrolled in Electro-Neuro diagnostic program.
  • Maintain a valid CPR certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
  • Perform clinical and ambulatory EEG’s and after being sufficiently trained and competencies are checked off on each modality.
  • Perform evoked potentials and clinical monitoring of EMU and continuous EEG patients.
  • Provides call coverage for EEG and EMU and includes schedule responsibilities for holidays and weekends.
  • Responsible to help control department payroll and supply expenses
  •  Perform Clerical duties as required as well as other duties as assigned.
