CLINICAL OUTCOMES SPECIALIST II - MIAMISBURG - CLINICAL OUTCOMES - FT/DAYS

Responsibilities & Requirements
Employee uses clinical knowledge base and experience to support clinical outcomes measurement and assessments for quality initiatives, core measures and other requestors by collecting and analyzing clinical data as assigned for patients with conditions including but not limited to: AMI, HF, Pneumonia, Perinatal, Stroke, VTE, Immunization, ICD Implantation, Carotid Stenting, Endovascular Procedures, TAVR and Infection Control metrics.
Employee performs data abstraction as assigned using appropriate data abstraction guidelines, of data including but not limited to: Core Measures, SCIP, ACC Cath PCI, STS, TAVR, ICD Registry, Carotid Stent Registry, Endovascular Registry and NHSN warehouse for quality improvement purposes, to comply with mandatory reporting and / or to complete information requests by other agencies.
Employee assists in quarterly / semi - annual data reviews prior to submission to national databases and assists or completes data harvest and submission as assigned.
Employee assists in reporting of physician performance variances to the manager for purposes of Service Line intervention and / or for peer review purposes.

Bachelors in Nursing required.
Current RN Ohio License
Three years recent clinical cardiovascular or medical/surgical nursing experience required.
Nursing experience should include recent cardiovascular, or medical/surgical experience.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision required.
- Must be able to use the following equipment: personal computer, printer, copy/fax machine.
- Works well in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgment in a self-directed role.
Preferred Qualifications
Courses in Health Information Management Preferred
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, Access, Excel or other database applications preferred
